<div>Are you a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx Practitioner with Practice Rights who is looking for advocacy experience? Or would you like to supplement your existing practice? If so, we are looking to expand our Qualified Advocate Team here at Quest!</div>
<div><br><em>What is the Role?</em></div>
<div><br>As a Qualified Advocate with Quest, you will prepare for and attend hearings independently with ongoing and friendly support from the Quest office team.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>This role offers a flexible, self-employed consultancy contract specialising in advocacy, and we can accommodate both full-time and part-time working arrangements (subject to a minimum number of hearings per month).&nbsp;</div>
<div><br>Depending on your experience, you will work independently or with a view to working independently as soon as possible, benefiting from comprehensive training and support from our in-house technical team. You will be liaising with both legal professionals and lay clients once you are working fully independently.</div>
<div><br>Fees depend on the advocacy assignment undertaken, based on the type and estimated duration of the hearing.</div>

<div>You will attend County Courts in your local area, with opportunities to travel further afield if desired, to represent our clients in civil litigation matters. These include, but are not limited to:</div>
<ul>
<li>Contested MOJ Stage 3 Hearings</li>
<li>Small Claims Track trials (including RTA, credit hire, OIC Liability/Quantum, consumer rights and property hearings)</li>
<li>Fast Track Trials and Disposal Hearings</li>
<li>Interlocutory Applications, including Costs Applications</li>
<li>Case Management/Directions Hearings, including Costs and Case Management Hearings</li>
</ul>
<div><br>In addition, candidates will be considered for Quest’s drafting services, providing advices on quantum for infant settlement approval hearings and other ad hoc drafting assignments.</div>

<div>Quest receives instructions from both claimants and defendants, offering you the opportunity to advance cases from both perspectives. This approach will help you develop a holistic and balanced understanding of advocacy.&nbsp;</div>

<div><em>What We Look For in a Prospective Qualified Advocate</em></div>

<div>Whether you are a seasoned advocate or looking to just begin your Advocacy journey, we are seeking candidates who demonstrate talent that we can help you develop into a practice with us.</div>
<div><br>We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience/background in RTA/Personal Injury work, either as a fee earner or as an advocate.</div>
<div><br>Even if you do not have an RTA background, we are interested in candidates with a strong desire to learn different civil litigation practice areas, excellent communication and written skills, and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure. Exceptional customer service skills are also fundamental, as advocates must ensure both lay and professional clients receive the highest quality service.</div>
