<div>As an entry-level County Court Advocate, you will have the chance to work on a diverse range of legal cases, providing crucial support to clients. Your responsibilities will include representing clients in court, offering guidance on court procedure, and ensuring their case is presented as strongly as possible.</div>

<div>This role offers a flexible, self-employed consultancy contract specialising in advocacy. You will work independently, benefiting from comprehensive training and support from our in-house technical team.</div>

<div><strong>What is the role?</strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>As a self-employed County Court Advocate, you will be remunerated with a fixed fee for each hearing.&nbsp; The fee will vary based on the type and estimated duration of the hearing. You will attend County Courts in your local area, with opportunities to travel further afield if desired, to represent clients in civil litigation matters. These include, but are not limited to:</div>
<ul>
<li>Small Claims (including RTA, credit hire, OIC Liability/Quantum, consumer rights and property hearings)</li>
<li>Infant Approvals</li>
<li>Interlocutory Application Hearings</li>
<li>Case Management Hearings</li>
<li>Dispute Resolution Hearings</li>
</ul>

<div><strong>What We Look For in a Prospective County Court Advocate</strong></div>

<div>We recognise that this is an entry-level position, and whilst we do get some applications from advocates with prior experience, we anticipate that many applicants will be seeking their first advocacy role. We are therefore seeking candidates who demonstrate raw talent that we can help cultivate and develop.</div>

<div>We are particularly interested in candidates with excellent communication skills, strong written advocacy skills, and, most importantly, the capacity to perform effectively under pressure!</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Additionally, exceptional customer service instincts are fundamental to this role, as advocates must ensure both lay and professional clients receive the highest quality service.</div>

<div><strong>What Quest can offer you as a County Court Advocate?</strong></div>

<div>Should you successfully join our County Court Advocate team, you will receive bespoke training tailored to all types of hearings our advocates attend. Our friendly technical team provides excellent support, ready to assist with any questions or challenges you may encounter.</div>

<div>Our training program combines remote live sessions, in-house training materials, and one-on-one support from our internal technical team for each of your cases.</div>

<div>This experience will build upon your legal studies, allowing you to apply your skills and knowledge in a county courtroom shortly after joining.</div>

<div><strong>Desired Qualifications we look for in a prospective candidate</strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>To be considered for this role, you must have completed one of the following courses with the preferred* grade classifications:</div>
<ul>
<li>BPTC/BPC/BTC graduate with a Very Competent classification or higher.</li>
<li>LPC graduate with a Commendation classification or higher.</li>
<li>Successful completion of SQE 1 &amp; 2.</li>
</ul>
<div>*Please note: If you have not achieved the preferred grades listed above, we are still happy to receive your application.&nbsp; We will consider extenuating circumstances for the right candidate, so please do not hesitate to submit your application.*</div>

<div>We also welcome applications from students in their final year of these courses who expect to attain these grades. Our recruitment rounds typically occur 2-4 times a year. We recommend applying towards the end of your course, within the recruitment cohort closest to your completion date.</div>
